Orson Welles on Cold Reading

Hilarious, I can see why RAW adores the man.

Thanks Alienpunk

Hah! If anything, this is an excellent argument against trying to divine the past instead of the future (because I mean, what does anyone gain from that, besides kudos for having known?). At least with future divination, one has a metric for accuracy and improvement (did it happen that way or not?).

I loved his film "F for Fake",and of course..."Citizen Kane",the movie about Randolf Hearst, the newspaper baron (crook).

Interestingly though,at the end of the above clip,Orson gets spooked when he is able to accurately predict about the woman's dead husband, using what some would term his intuition. But,no not Orson,he looks for a more rational approach to the situation, and ends up running away from it,into the safety of his comforting left brain. It's a shame the great man didn't try to work more with his right brain.
